There are lots of different Disappearing Block. Basically these blocks are traditional blocks which once made are sliced up and the pieces put back together to make another block. Jenny Doan, from Missouri Star Quilt Company is famous for the many different Disappearing blocks she has demonstrated on her YouTube channel.
I have made 3 different "Disappearing" blocks using her tutorials.
Disappearing Pinwheel
Disappearing Hour Glass
Disappearing Nine Patch
Excellent! Very beautiful work. I'd also like to tell you, when you post your link during the A to Z Challenge, make sure to include .au at the end. This is the correct link: http://ozzypipquilts.blogspot.com.au If it doesn't have .au it doesn't work! Managed to find it though. I've just followed your blog so I can keep track during A-Z. ReplyDeleteI think what's also strange is the link to this post is: http://ozzypipquilts.blogspot.com/2016/04/d-is-for-disappearing-blocks.html?showComment=1459810356965#c7462168853070250963 and there's no.au at the end, but I could not get to you by clicking on the link. Maybe in Australia one doesn't need to add the .au? This may explain why you may not have as many comments as you deserve. Good luck!
Deletethankyou guys for the headsup. When I put it in with or without the .au it goes automatically to the one with the au... no one has mentioned having hassles with it so.... not really sure what is going on. I will add the au and see what happenes. Thanks for stopping by
DeleteYour Disappearing Pinwheel quilt is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBTW I can get to the site with or without the .au
